“This cover idea came to me while listening to a vinyl of Ultravox and drinking single malt on the night Chris Cross from Ultravox died. I wondered if it was even permissible psychologically to touch a classic like this but felt confident in redesigning it with a shoegazey atmosphere and a female voice, while maintaining the song’s fundamental structure. I asked my friend Myrto Stylou, composer and lead singer of the upcoming coldwave band Kalte Nacht, to sing, and she was really excited.
Then I asked another friend, George ‘Bandoek’ Apostolakis, to play some guitars, and here we are.
